I hand-carved this luxurious Byzantine-style cross in a specially cut clear Quartz gemstone, and set it in a specially designed solid 8 karat gold setting.
This alternative engagement ring embodies the quiet strength of devotion.
Clear quartz is known as the “stone of clarity” and the design embodies light and faith.
Reverse intaglio carving is a centuries-old method of hand-carving designs into precious gems. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and designs are painstakingly hand-carved under magnification.
A rare alternative to the traditional diamond ring, the design catches the light at certain angles, revealing a unique image suspended within the gemstone.

NOTES about our GOLD
• Though we do not hallmark the insides of all our items (it can interfere with the outside design), please be assured that items labeled as gold are made in solid gold, not gold-filled or plated.
• For items for which it is available, 8K gold is a lower grade of gold and may darken slightly with use. The photo shown in white is made from 14K white gold. 18K is a little more saturated in color, as the amount of gold in the ring is significantly more.
• Our white gold is not rhodium-plated, so the gold may tinge towards yellow (14K) or gray (8K). This creates a more natural feel, which goes with our vintage and nature-themed designs and does not require that the product be replated after a certain time.
NOTES about our SILVER
• Silver is a softer metal than gold, so polishing techniques are a little different. As our items have a lot of detail, silver items can be slightly more or less shiny and the details may differ slightly from the gold photos in the listing. Please refer to our reviews when possible.
• Silver also tarnishes much more quickly and can irritate some skin types. Any darkening on the skin can also occur when silver comes in contact with certain chemicals and soaps.
